Sima Skurkovitz

Sima Skurkovitz, a former artist at the puppet theatre in Vilna, remembers:

“Even when we walked towards death, knowing there was no way out, the girls sang! That's difficult to understand! You never heard screaming or crying in the streets. I don't know whether that was good or bad; it’s just the way it was. It was a state of mind…”

Today, Sima Skurkovitz lives in Jerusalem.
